MIDO 2023 invites you to share wonderful

The 51st Milan International Optical Glasses Exhibition MIDO 2023 was successfully held at the Milan International Exhibition Center from February 4th to 6th. MIDO has finally returned to the right track after three years of the epidemic. It is not only an important opportunity for the entire eyewear industry to meet, exchange and learn, but also a unique opportunity to closely observe the evolution of the industry, creative experimentation and innovation.

According to statistics from the organizer after the exhibition, the number of professional attendees of MIDO 2023 reached 35,000, 80% of whom came from Europe and 20% from other parts of the world. Among them, the number of viewers has increased by 60% compared with 2022. Of course, the main growth force comes from the local audience in Italy.
Among the more than 1,000 global exhibitors, 72% are international exhibitors, and the remaining 28% are Italian local exhibitors. Among the international exhibitors, 51% are from Europe except Italy, 42% are from Asia, and the remaining 7% are from other parts of the world.

OTTICLUB - Optometry Club
During the exhibition, the organizer held a number of lectures, seminars and awards on different themes in the OTTICLUB-Opticism Club located in Hall 3, which greatly enriched the content of the exhibition and broadened the dimension of the exhibition.

CSE-Certified Sustainable Eyewear
The CSE Award is an award established by the MIDO Organizing Committee in cooperation with ANFAO and Certottica, aiming to recognize the sustainable development of the global eyewear industry. Recycled materials, reduction of consumption during production and distribution, maximization of the supply chain, elimination of waste, degree of recyclability, use of renewable resources and any certifications already obtained are important considerations for this award.
Stand up for Green
MARCHON won the second Green Award. For Marchon, sustainability is a strategic driver and this choice was evident at their booth. The modularity, the possibility of reusing different materials as well as the very streamlined furniture and easy transport, are all very much appreciated.
